Improving Clinical Processes for Health Professionals Using iPro Continuous Blood Glucose Monitoring
KPMG Plexus has recently partnered with the diabetes division of Medtronic, United States to develop and deliver an innovative new educational program for clinical teams involved in diabetes care.
Based on the success of our partnership with Medtronic International in developing and delivering educational programs for insulin pump process improvement (the Efficiency Clinics), KPMG Plexus has been asked to work with Medtronic US to develop a similar program for continuous blood glucose monitoring (Breakthrough Solutions).
The goal of Breakthrough Solutions is to help healthcare professionals to overcome barriers to achieving their patient care goals when using iPro. The program is focused on helping professionals implement efficient processes that support their clinical work, and to incorporate best practices in their clinical care.
Medtronic’s diabetes management therapies include insulin pumps, designed to help patients to manage diabetes by ensuring continuous insulin delivery. Insulin pumps can be paired with continuous glucose monitoring systems – small, portable devices that provide 24-hour, real-time glucose monitoring. This can help diabetics improve their diabetes management and lower the risk of diabetes complications.
