Almost every medical treatment involves using medication to achieve the greatest possible health benefit. However, the involvement of the pharmaceutical sector (manufacturers, wholesale and retail pharmacists) in treatment is generally restricted to the sale and distribution of medication. It rarely gets involved in analyzing the effectiveness of a particular medication in practice. Which is a shame, both for the patient and for the pharmaceutical sector itself!
